Chelate (from the Greek word chele – claw) is an organic complex based on a chemical compound of trace elements in chelate form.

The chelating (“capturing”) agent provides a strong bonding of nutrient ions in a form that is as accessible to the plant as possible. Once it enters the plant cells, it goes into biological form and breaks down into its chemical components. They are quickly and easily assimilated by plants, providing not only their nutrition, but also organizing a powerful protection against the effects of adverse environmental factors, various stresses, temperature fluctuations.

Complex liquid chelate fertilizers are similar in structure to natural compounds. This explains the high effectiveness of such fertilizers, especially for young plants. Not only fertilizers, but also preparations for pre-sowing seed treatment, foliar dressing and drip irrigation are produced on the basis of chelates.

Advantages of chelated fertilizers

Chelate fertilizers are successfully used in agriculture, horticulture and have proven high efficiency of use, especially in comparison with micronutrients in the form of soluble salts, which were actively used before.
