Plants require a large set of nutrients for growth and development. Three elements rank first in importance: nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.

Phosphate fertilizers accelerate energy processes in plant cells, help increase yields, and help the plant fight disease.

What phosphorus is for.

Phosphorus does not occur naturally in its free state. Agricultural plants get the necessary amount of this element from simple and compound phosphorus fertilizers. Proper regulation of phosphate nutrition provides the right parameters for growth and yield.

The main purpose of phosphorus is to accelerate metabolic processes in cells, and as a consequence – a faster transition from flowering to fruiting, better maturation of seeds and fruits, increased resistance to disease. Phosphorus is found in all parts of the plant – roots, stem, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds. Sufficient phosphorus ensures the full vitality of the plant.

How plants are affected by a lack of phosphorus.

All kinds of plants suffer from a lack of phosphorus. Cereal crops are less likely to root and bush, and are slower to mature. Fruiting plants have poor flowering, many ovaries fall off, and the trees do not survive the winter. Apple trees, peaches, strawberries, and black currants are especially sensitive to phosphorus deficiency.

Vegetable crops have a delayed harvest, poorly developed root system, plants are often sick. Taste also suffers: Potatoes, for example, have a reduced starch content, they become watery and unpalatable. Tomatoes, beets, carrots, and other garden vegetation need phosphorus nutrition early in their growth.

Phosphorus deficiency is indicated by these signs:
